Real Estate Connect Technologies, LLC ("RECT," "we," "us," or "our") provides the websites and online services available at paezproptax.com, certificates.paezproptax.com, order.paezproptax.com, and app.paezproptax.com (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Services, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our websites, people who contact us or schedule a demonstration, people who request tax certificates or look up properties through the ordering portal ("Requesters"), and users of the Tax Collector platform, including elected Tax Collectors and the staff they authorize ("Collector Users").
Information we process for Tax Collector offices. Participating Tax Collector offices use the Services to maintain property-tax records and to receive and respond to certificate requests. When we process tax records and certificate requests for a Tax Collector's office, we do so as a technology provider acting on behalf of that office. The office determines what records it maintains, how certificate requests are handled, and how long its records must be kept under applicable law. Questions about a specific tax record should be directed to the Tax Collector's office responsible for it.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and demo requests: name, email address, phone number, county, municipality, current software, and your area of interest.
- Certificate requests: name, email address, phone number, company, title or order reference numbers, parcel numbers, the certificate type requested, your delivery preference, and a mailing address if you choose mail delivery.
- Accounts: name, email address, role, office affiliation, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), and multi-factor authentication settings.
- Communications: the content of emails, calls, and support requests you send us.
Payment information
Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored on our systems. We receive information about the transaction, such as the amount, date, status, and a transaction identifier.
Tax records
Tax Collector offices load and maintain property-tax information in the platform, which may include property owner names, mailing addresses, parcel numbers, assessed values, tax amounts, and payment history. Much of this information is public record. We process it on behalf of, and at the direction of, the responsible Tax Collector's office.
Information collected automatically
- Log and device information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of access, and referring page.
- Security information: sign-in attempts, account activity, and audit records of changes made within the platform.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including routing certificate requests to the responsible Tax Collector's office and delivering completed certificates and receipts.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To respond to inquiries, schedule demonstrations, and provide support.
- To secure the Services, including authentication, access control, audit logging, and detecting misuse.
- To understand how our websites are used and improve them.
- To send service-related messages, such as order confirmations, certificate notices, and account or security notices.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as described below.
- With the responsible Tax Collector's office: certificate requests, requester details, and payment status are shared with the participating Tax Collector's office that handles the request.
- With service providers that operate parts of the Services on our behalf, under obligations to protect the information.
- For legal reasons: when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RECT, our users, or others.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our marketing websites use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use them. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location, and device type.
The ordering portal and the Tax Collector platform use browser storage to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. These are necessary for the Services to work. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent parts of the Services from functioning.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain accurate business and financial records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Tax records and certificate records maintained for a Tax Collector's office are retained according to that office's instructions and applicable record-retention requirements. Contact and demo request information is kept for as long as it is useful for responding to you and managing our relationship.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, office-level data isolation, audit logging, and automated backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach of personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, including Pennsylvania's Breach of Personal Information Notification Act.
8. Your choices
- Access and correction: you may ask us for a copy of, or to correct, personal information we hold about you. Collector Users can update much of their account information directly.
- Deletion: you may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. Some information must be retained, for example records maintained for a Tax Collector's office, transaction records, and information we are required to keep by law.
- Tax records: requests about property-tax records should be directed to the responsible Tax Collector's office. We will assist that office as appropriate.
- Email: service-related messages are part of using the Services. If we send you marketing email, you may opt out at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.

9. Children
The Services are intended for adults and for business and government use. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
